A study of the Person and work of the Holy Spirit.

A study of the identity and activity of angels and demons.

 

Authority, Allegiance, and the Scriptures - 10 classroom hours

A study of the types of authority and allegiances that stand in competition to the Scriptures, preventing many people from a balanced Christian life.

A study of the doctrine of the knowledge of God, with the development of a practical systematic theology.


Knowing God II: Practice - 10 classroom hours

A study of the practice of knowing God designed to challenge and motivate the student.

Prayer and Fasting - 10 classroom hours

A foundational study of prayer that focuses on how to pray, as well as principles of fasting.


Praise and Worship - 10 classroom hours

A study of various types of praise and worship and principles for operating a music ministry.


Church Fellowship - 20 classroom hours

A study of the necessity, nature, and neglect of fellowship, which includes a modern day application.


Small Group Dynamics - 10 classroom hours

A practical study of ideas and principles for leading and participating in small groups.


Marriage - 10 classroom hours

A biblical study of the institution of marriage, which focuses on the marriage roles of the husband and wife.

Volume III: Bible Study

Introduction to Inductive Bible Study - 20 classroom hours

An introduction to the series of courses on inductive Bible study, which explains what it is and how to do it.

 

Bible Study I: (Philippians 1:1-2:18) - 20 classroom hours

By studying this portion of Philippians, the student begins to use the principles of inductive Bible study to observe, interpret, and apply the Scriptures.

 

Bible Study II: (Philippians 2:19-4:23) - 20 classroom hours

This course continues to practice the principles of Bible study through a study of Philippians.

 

Bible Study III: (Malachi 1:1-2:16) - 20 classroom hours

Advanced practice of inductive Bible study with a focus on preparing an expository message.

 

Bible Study IV: (Malachi 2:17-4:6) - 20 classroom hours

The completion of inductive study with a focus on preparing and presenting an expository message.

 

Old Testament I: The Pentateuch - 10 classroom hours

A general survey course that covers the portion of the O.T. known as the Law or the Pentateuch

 

Old Testament II: The Prophets - 10 classroom hours

A general survey course that covers the portion of the O.T. known as the Prophets.

 

Old Testament III: The Writings - 10 classroom hours

A general survey course that covers the portion of the O.T. known as the Writings.

 

New Testament I: The Gospels - 10 classroom hours

A general survey course that covers the portion of the N.T. known as the Gospels.

 

New Testament II: Birth of the Church - 10 classroom hours

A general survey course that covers the portion of the N.T. written during the earliest years of the Church.

 

New Testament III: Advance of the Church - 10 classroom hours

A general survey course that covers the portion of the N.T. written in the later years of the primitive Church.

Biblical research concerning the structure, organization, and government of the Church, which focuses on plurality of leadership and the Body of Christ.

 

Church and Sacraments - 10 classroom hours

A study of the biblical descriptions of the Church, as well as the Lord's Supper and Baptism.

 

Practical Discipleship - 10 classroom hours

A practical study on how to disciple someone, which includes a 30 point program of basic discipleship topics and studies.

 

Church Discipline - 10 classroom hours

A New Testament study of the motivations and methods of discipline in the Church.

 

Church Growth and Revival - 10 classroom hours

A basic study of church growth principles as well as a biblical view of revival.

 

Christian Counseling - 10 classroom hours

The theory and practice of counseling from a pastoral perspective.

 

Preaching and Teaching - 20 classroom hours

A basic study of how to preach and teach and how to develop sermons and teachings. Half of the course is designed to be used for hearing student's sermons and teachings.

 

Gifts of the Spirit - 20 classroom hours

A thorough study of the nature and use of spiritual gifts as they are listed in Rom 12, I Cor 12 and Eph 4.

Volume V: Missions

Practical Evangelism - 10 classroom hours

A basic study of the Message, Messenger, and Methods of Evangelism, including helpful strategies and tools.

 

Foundations of the Great Commission - 10 classroom hours

A theological, biblical, and historical study that forms the foundation for understanding both the importance and nature of the Great Commission.

 

World Mission I: Theology - 20 classroom hours

A study of the theology and history of missions.

 

World Mission II: Strategy - 20 classroom hours

A study of mission strategies, evangelism, church planting, and working with other groups to help complete the Great Commission.

 

World Mission III: Culture - 20 classroom hours

A study of cross-cultural communication, anthropology, sociology, and language learning.

 

Church Planting - 20 classroom hours

A practical study on how to plant a church with some of the theoretical considerations.

 

Islam - 10 classroom hours

Information concerning who Muslims are and what they believe, with ideas on how to witness to them.

 

Spiritual Warfare - 10 classroom hours

A biblical study of the weapons and armor of a Christian soldier and how to use them.

Christian Character - 20 classroom hours

A study on service, humility, and leadership using the lives of Moses, Nehemiah and others.

 

Faith - 10 classroom hours

A biblical study that focuses on what faith is and is not, and how to use your faith.

 

The Sermon on the Mount - 10 classroom hours

A study designed to introduce the key issues and teachings of the Sermon.

 

Ministry to the Poor - 10 classroom hours

A study of the biblical mandate to help the poor and a practical section on how to do it.

 

The Bible and Money - 20 classroom hours

A study of the biblical view of money, which focuses on giving and stewardship.

 

Proverbs: Talking and Relating - 10 classroom hours

A study of what the book of Proverbs teaches about speech and relationships

A study of the Christian’s response to current contemporary issues.

 

1st Timothy: Part One (1:1-20) - 20 classroom hours

Training in inductive bible study through an exhaustive investigation of 1 Timothy 1.

 

1st Timothy: Part Two (2:1-3:15) - 20 classroom hours

Training in inductive bible study through an exhaustive investigation of 1 Timothy 2-3.

Practical Ministry

Ministry Development - 10 classroom hours

A study of motivations and methods for ministry mobilization and leadership development with a focus on ministry structures.

 

Ministry Revitalization - 10 classroom hours

A study designed to help a student understand the need for and be able to implement revitalization within a ministry.

 

Ministry Vision & Planning - 20 classroom hours

A study of the development and implementation of vision as well as the practical treatment of the methods of planning within ministry.

 

Church Administration - 20 classroom hours

A practical study of typical areas of church administration with a focus on organization, management, and process development.

Advanced Preaching & Teaching - 20 classroom hours

An advanced study of a variety of issues for the preacher and teacher with an emphasis on expository preaching (preaching through one single passage). Students will present messages to be evaluated.

 

Practical Missions - 10 classroom hours

A practical study designed to mobilize local church missions programs and individuals who want to go to the mission field.

 

Family Dynamics - 10 classroom hours

A practical course on family relationships with a focus on parenting.
